Explore the impressive valleys and forests of the island of Santo Antão on this excursion to Corda, Coculi and Figueiral de Cima. Equal parts history and hiking.
At 9am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ribeira Grande. From there, we'll take a minibus to Corda, a village in the interior of the island of Santo Antão.
When we arrive, we'll enjoy the spectacular views of this small village, located in the heart of the Cova Natural Park, as well as the impressive footprint of the Cova de Paul volcanic crater and its lush vegetation.
To really get to know the area, we'll take a three-hour walking route, during which we'll cross dirt tracks and agricultural terraces and see the local cultures. An unforgettable walk!
Afterwards, we'll return to the minibus and travel to Figueiral de Cima and Terrinha Vermelha, two villages in the most remote part of Santo Antão. After admiring the green valleys and the old houses typical of this Cape Verdean island, we'll head to Coculi, a very peculiar place.
There we'll visit the banks of the Ribeira Grande river and discover all the secrets of this town. We'll finish this excursion by returning to your hotel in Ribeira Grande at approximately 1pm.
Our tour guides are friendly and trained to ensure the safety of the group. They also speak English, French, Portuguese.
We organise excursions from your hotel. You will be picked up at the time agreed on your voucher.
