Itinerary

Full description

Welcome to the west coast of Boavista, where nature has done an incredible job! We will start our journey by picking you up from your hotel in a 4x4 truck and then head to Morro de Areia, the “sand mountain”, for our first stop. You will be amazed by the beauty of this “mini” Sahara! To get even more involved, you will try the island’s newest activity: Sandboarding to feel free like a child! After this fun, we will drive between the dunes and along the coast to reach the “turtle bay”. There is nothing better than watching animals in their natural habitat behaving normally, that is, happily! The species is the Green Turtle and unlike the Loggerhead Turtle, they only feed here and lay their eggs elsewhere. We continue on and a few minutes later we will reach Shark Bay, where depending on the sea level we may be lucky enough to see this incredible species of Lemon Shark! After this incredible experience, head to Vila Velha “Povoação Velha”, the first village in Boavista, inhabited by farmers, fishermen and goat breeders. There you will have the chance to taste the local specialties in a comfortable place. The Rum (Grogue) and Liqueur (Pontche) are a must, as they say that after 3 doses you start speaking Creole! This tour is designed to be pleasant and cool, combining nature, adrenaline and local flavor. See you soon!!
