Discover scuba diving and explore the underwater world of Cape Verde. Learn the basics in a pool before heading out to dive into the ocean for this adventurous activity.
Explore Cape Verde’s underwater world of caves, shipwrecks and abundant marine life on a beginner’s diving tour with an instructor. Spot rays hovering around local wrecks, schools of fish sheltering in coral reefs or turtles swimming nearby. Start with a short theory lesson to understand the basics of diving, followed by a session in the pool to familiarise yourself with the diving equipment. When you’re ready, head out for a swim in the warm blue waters. Keep an eye out for moray eels, turtles and a wide variety of sharks and fish. In the summer (June to November) you’ll have the chance to see turtles and in the winter (January to March) you’ll spot humpback whales. DAILY PROGRAM: - From 8:30 to 11:30 - A little theory and practice in the pool or in confined waters (Bikini Beach) - From 2 to 4:30 pm - Diving in the ocean by boat (between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on air consumption)
