La collezione del Museo \u00e8 costituita da raccolte provenienti da scavi archeologici subacquei effettuati nei mari dell'arcipelago di Capo Verde dalla societ\u00e0 sudafricana Afrimar e dalla societ\u00e0 portoghese Arqueonautas S.A.
