Enjoy an adventure on an excursion to the cradle of Cape Verdean civilisation accompanied by a local guide. The activity begins with pick-up from your accommodation or another location such as the harbour in the city of Praia. The visit to Cape Verde's most African and historic city begins with the fortress of São Filipe, where you can learn about the defence system against the pirates who attacked the island. This is followed by the ruins of the Sé Cathedral, the slave market in the centre of Pelourinho, Banana Street which leads to the church of Nossa Senhora do Rosário and ends at the convent of São Filipe
