A discovery tour of the city of Santa Maria where you will visit the city’s main tourist attractions and sample some of the national cuisine.
We'll pick you up from your hotel, then head to the main street where the tour will begin. Then we'll head to the pontoon, where you'll see the fish market and many types of local boats. Your guide will explain its history and the great importance it once played in the local economy. Then we'll visit the local museum. There you'll see old objects and learn how the cradle of Cape Verde worked. Then we'll head to the municipal market. At the municipal market you'll get to know the local agricultural products. You'll see how people go about their daily lives. You'll see a variety of products and get to know small businesses that sell local products. Afterwards, you'll visit the streets of Santa Maria with their designs inspired by people's daily lives. Different colours show how the city is experienced. Then we'll go to a local restaurant where you can try tapas based on the local gastronomy. Back to the hotel.
