Spend a unique night on Boavista Island observing loggerhead turtles during nesting season. See the turtles preparing their nests and laying eggs on the beach and support their conservation.
The Cape Verde Islands are home to the third largest community of loggerhead turtles in the world, and Boavista hosts more than 90% of them along its 55 kilometers of white sand beach. From June to October, we find this spectacle at dusk on the beach where the large females come to lay their eggs inside the special nests they have made. This beauty is protected by the government with massive support from locals who get involved in the conservation project every year. Currently, there are many associations and NGOs with international support that assist the conservation and protection program. There is a limit on the number of tours and people per night per beach so as not to disrupt the turtles' processes (each operator must inform how many guests there are at a time). Immerse yourself in this adventure and have an experience that will last a lifetime.
