Enjoy a hiking route through Pinhao, Lombo Branco & Sinagoga on this tour from Ribeira Grande. You’ll see the most spectacular landscapes and swim in natural pools.
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Ribeira Grande at 9 am and hit the road for Pinhao, a small village that will be the start of an amazing hiking route.
Walking at nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, we'll get to know the impressive vegetation of the island of Santo Antão. We'll cross streams and climb hills, perfect for admiring the green valleys of the area. In addition, throughout the route, we'll make stops and tell you the most curious stories about the different towns of the island.
One of the towns we'll visit is Lombo Branco. Here, we'll have the opportunity to see the local farmers, the great variety of plants they grow, as well as the animals that live in the area, such as cows, goats, horses and donkeys.
In the final stretch of our hiking route, we'll reach Sinagoga, former home to a Jewish community that lived in Santo Antão after being expelled from Portugal. Sinagoga is also known for its natural pools, where - weather permitting - you'll be able to enjoy a relaxing swim in its crystal clear waters.
Finally, we'll get back on the minibus and return to your hotel. The excursion will end around 1 pm.
Nos guides sont sympathiques et formés pour assurer la sécurité du groupe. Ils parlent également l'anglais, le français et le portugais.
