Safety in Cape Verde
Tourists are very well received in the country. Cape Verde, however, remains a country with a low standard of living compared to Europe and petty crime is possible in urban centres and markets, where pickpockets are quick to act. It's a good idea to always carry useful papers and coins with you in a discreet pocket during your trip, even in your accommodation.
