This circular walk has it all: spectacular views, hiking on ridges in parts and passing through the island's main pine forests. Being the greenest part of the island, it means that if there are clouds, this place will have them. During the harmattan wind season, the views can be hazy, but it's still a very good walk. Interestingly, there is no groundwater irrigation system in parts of this area, and farmers rely on the clouds to irrigate their crops.
During the hot months, this hike is ideal because of the shade and altitude. In the colder months, you'll need a warm layer. Boots and poles are necessary for this trek.
