Come to discover the vibe of the people in town, Sal Rei (Kings Salt), founded in the 19th Century among the salt marshes that gives its name, due to its high quality and much appreciated Salt in the past. Museu dos Naufragos: be amazed by the only private Museum in the Country,which tells the history of shipwrecks around the island (estimates over 300)starting at the button of the sea (ground floor) to the surface (2
nd floor) where you can make use of the Bar and the nice view from the surroundings. Such shipwrecks played a major role on the survival on the island inhabitants.
Sodade, Casa da Cultura: Revisit the past through the modern with this unique experience into the culture of Boavista. Passed through many generations, the
House of Culture, once a family house, then belonged to the local Catholic Church and after a long period of despair had been renewed keeping the same style and architectonics from its time. Here we visit the Museum of Culture as also taste local products as homemade goat cheese, marmalade, hibiscus juice, local Rum and much more.Finally, the Visit to the Barracas (Slums) of Sal Rei, on the outskirts of Town.
