The day begins with pickup from your hotel. Head to the first stop of the tour, Rabil, the second most populous village on Boa Vista Island. Visit a ceramics factory to learn about the ancient art of pottery, as well as pottery, one of the few local crafts. Depart Rabil and cross the palm-fringed oasis towards the Viana Desert. Learn how the desert began to form in the 1980s and has continued to grow due to the trade winds that bring sand from the Sahara and Mauritania. Feel the wind in your hair and the adrenaline pumping through your body on a thrilling ride through the sand dunes on your quad bike. Continue the tour to Bofareira, a small and peaceful village on the north side of the island, before stopping at Cabo de Santa Maria to see the shipwreck.
Next, drive to the town of Sal Rei for a short break, followed by a stroll along the old cobblestone road to the Church of F谩tima.
