This trail begins in the town of Chã de Igreja, then descends into a small stream and starts climbing a long mountain where a footpath winds between trails until it reaches the top. Along this trail you’ll come across bean plantations and endemic plants. Along the trail is a small village called Mocho. The main activity in this village is agriculture and animal husbandry. After reaching the top, you begin to descend until you reach a village called Caibros. There is still a house where tourists are received for food. You continue along a stream in the valley towards Bocas de Ambas das Ribeiras, then to the stream in the valley of Chã de Pedras until you reach the town of Bocas de João Afonso.
