Located in a historic building, the CNAD recovers the memory of the old Resistance Cooperative, created by the artists Bela Duarte, Luísa Queiróz and Manuel Figueira to promote the traditional handicrafts of the islands. Today the National Craft and Design Centre is an exhibition space, concert venue and cultural initiative.
