This is one of the most beautiful bays in Cape Verde. The village sits at the foot of mountains that protect it from the northeast. It is the greenest part of the island due to the existence of permanent water springs, the main one being the Encontro spring. Located on the island’s northern east coast, inside an extinct volcano crater, the furna is Brava’s main harbor.
